Ejecting CDs/DVDs from Macs

The Desktop
The Desktop folder and the Mac desktop provide two different views of the same information. The desktop is the first thing you see after you log in to your Mac. The Desktop folder, found in the sidebar of any open Finder window, as well in as each user account folder in the Users folder, holds all of the files and folders that are currently sitting on the desktop. If you have multiple hard drives or partitions on your computer, each drive or partition will have its own Desktop folder.
